RIPOL 22LN1G61092: The Perfect Combination of Conductivity and Adhesion
RIPOL’s new conductive primer is a state-of-the-art anticorrosive solution that ensures flawless adhesion of the Topcoat
Have you experienced Topcoat adhesion problems after using a powder coating primer? Are you looking for a product that provides excellent corrosion protection? RIPOL 22LN1G61092 is the ideal solution!
This new primer belongs to the CONDUCTIVE Series based on pure epoxy-based powder coating developed to minimize electrostatic discharge (ESD) and create an active barrier effect for superior anticorrosion power.
The conductive film created by the primer RIPOL 22LN1G61092 perfectly adheres to the metal substrate and improves the inter-coat adhesion with the Topcoat. The conductive properties of the primer will also help creating higher film thicknesses of the Topcoats.
RIPOL 22LN1G61092 primer is easy to apply and suitable for steel, cast iron (porous substrates and alloys), and galvanized or electro-galvanized substrates.
Pretreatments
The substrate must be properly prepared, degreased and dry. Metal preparation should be suitable for the type of substrate and level of corrosion protection required.
Steel:
- Chemical Treatment: Degreasing, Iron or Zinc Phosphating or similar, washing and drying
- Mechanical Treatment: SA 2.5 sandblasting – Roughness 6-10 μm
Galvanized Steel:
- Mechanical Treatment: sanding until a light surface layer of galvanizing is removed
Benefits
- Excellent conductivity
- Perfect intercoat adhesion with Topcoats
- Active barrier effect for high anticorrosive power
- Protection against filiform corrosion
- Easy to apply
- Excellent mechanical properties
- Complete edge coverage
